A Cappella

“Here we have the Beltones, this brand new group, really showing the depth of their musical reach…Patrick Dunnevant, who was one of the co-founders, actually sings the lead here and he did the arrangement, which I was really impressed by. He wasn’t afraid to do some chord substitutions and play with the texture of it while still retaining, I think, the nobility of the original hymn.” – Dave Brown, Mouth Off, 1/29/12

Patrick Dunnevant was the co-founder, first music director, and primary arranger of Belmont University’s internationally-recognized a cappella group, The Beltones. He arranged six out of seven songs that were recorded for the debut EP, and over fifty percent of the music the group performed in its first two years. Recently, his arrangements have been performed and studied by the Girls Chorus at LaGuardia High School, the Deaftones at Westminster Choir College, the Garnett Minstrelles at Union College, the C Notes at Centennial High School in Portland, OR, the Women’s Glee Club at the University of Illinois, Encore at Ensworth High School, and Soulstice at Virginia Tech.

He is also the arranger and performer of ACappellaVGM, a YouTube channel specializing in a cappella covers of video game music.

  1. Hi, I am a music teacher in England who runs a vocal group and I notice that your arrangement of Put Your Records On, I really like it. My students would love to do this, is there anywhere I can get hold of the score?

  2. Hello,
